Jim and I just got back from a Toronto road trip. We bought a Jaguar XJS last summer, 3 days
before Katrina. In fact I drove through New Orleans when I picked it up from the dealer. Anyway, Jim’s decided that he (in his perfect middle-aged wisdom) wants to see a ballgame in every major league park in the US and Canada before he’s called to his great reward. So this is “Baseball Summer” and we’re going just about everywhere on the east coast in
order to fulfill his big wish.
Unfortunately, he likes to travel in his cramped, unreliable 14 year old piece of British crap and then complain the entire trip about what a piece of crap it is. So, we drove to Toronto and back and visited Niagara Falls along the way. All over a 2 day weekend. Are men just naturally mad?
So far this summer we’ve visited Cincinnati (being only 35 miles from there we’ve been there more than a few times), Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Washington DC, and will go to Philadelphia the end of the month then finish up with Chicago.
I’m working on 2 different scrapbooks. One is a ‘hardcopy’ book with lots of paper-type souvenirs and the other will be an online photo album. I’ve taken some awesome photos so will post the link once I get the energy to work on it.
